Luz McLean, Esq. is a Marital and Family Law attorney and founder of McLean Family Law, PLLC. Luz was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish, thus being able to service both English and Spanish speaking clients. She attended Florida International University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Thereafter, she received her Juris Doctor Degree at Barry University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. During college, Luz completed internships with the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office, where she assisted on a multitude of criminal law matters. During law school, Luz participated in Barry Law’s Children and Family Clinic for 2 years, where she assisted on cases involving children within the delinquency court system.

 

Luz is no stranger to the courtroom and holds a reputation for zealously defending her clients and their families in complex and highly litigious matters in family court. However, Luz understands that every case does not belong in a courtroom and may be better suited for out of court resolution. In this instance, Luz also handles Marital and Family Law cases through a combination of voluntary settlement processes, including the use of the Collaborative Law Process, an out-of-court dispute resolution method.

 

Luz is a member of the Greenberg Gamot Family Law American Inn of Court of the Palm Beaches, which fosters excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills within the legal community. It is also a passion of Luz’s to mentor the younger generation and regularly speaks to children in the public school system about the practice of law and pursuing a legal career.
